Sales Manager

PureteQ is an engineering company based in Svendborg that specializes in designing and servicing built-to-fit maritime exhaust gas cleaning systems (scrubbers). Our scrubbers are known for their energy efficiency and user-friendly control systems with real-time remote access.

With offices in Europe and Asia, PureteQ is one of the world’s largest service providers for all brands of scrubbers. We are committed to optimizing existing technologies and investing in research and development of new technologies within the fields of carbon capture and power-to-x.

As we are growing in international markets, we are looking for a dedicated and independent colleague who, with the right training, will be able to be part of our commercial team. We encourage candidates regardless of sales experience to apply, as technical work experience and educational background are weighted equally to commercial/sales experience.

Role Description

As a Sales Manager at PureteQ, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing client accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and negotiating contracts. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, conducting market research, and meeting sales targets.

You will be introduced to a thorough cross-disciplinary training program that covers the company structure and international activities. The training will be completed in close collaboration with our Vice Sales Director (peer-to-peer training).

This role is primarily located in Svendborg, with flexibility for 80-100 days of travel a year. In the long term, you will be allocated responsibility for your own international markets. The job requires significant travel activities, starting with an introduction program with stationing in one of our international departments.

Primary Tasks

  • In-house and off-site sales activities
  • Ship inspections
  • Price quotations
  • Business development
  • CRM system operation and maintenance


  • To succeed in technical sales, a strong technical skillset and interest in process and control management are welcomed
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, marine engineering, or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, or another business administrative field
  • Vocational background as an electrician, fitter, mechanic, or similar is preferred
  • Knowledge of maritime exhaust gas cleaning systems is a plus
  • Experience in the maritime industry is a plus
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Able and willing to travel the world as part of the job
